Vintage and restored, RCA 9JY-1 45 Rpm Record Attachment Player. The very last one I will do, Retiring finally!
The 1949 year JY9 , version one player with the RP-168 changer mechanism. Motor and transmission have been rebuilt, cleaned and lubricated. A new stereo cartridge has been installed. The main idler drive wheel has a new Super 45 Aluminum body with red rubber drive surfaces.
The case is beautifully cleaned and polished real Bakelite , brought to a high sheen. A rubber bumper has been added to protect the stylus assembly. Stereo phono jacks on the rear provide audio signal output to your amplifier. A three prong power cable connector is installed. The plastic base plinth is painted a contrasting metallic gold color as is the Vinyl turntable cushioned cover. It plays Ten, 45 RPM records.
This player was engineered and designed to play good quality RCA discs. Some fly by night record companies have forsaken the design and weight specifications and results may vary.
There is one imperfection on the paint chipped away on the 45 spindle.
I pack with bubble wrap, paper and styrofoam , double box the item.
Record views are deliberately redundant and repetitive.
